Board Meeting Minutes
March 8, 2018
Present: Koberlein, Hough, Wegscheid, Crawford, Arnold, Kamnick, Denton, Director Karnes
Guests: JoAn Evans, Wayne Moran
The Board Meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by President Koberlein. Minutes of the 2/8/18 meeting were read and approved. Treasurer and librarian’s reports were presented (see attached). Motion by Crawford, seconded by Hough to approve and pay the bills. Motion carried.
Director Karnes presented the Librarian’s report. She will order another DVD case holder. She read a letter from Ginny Wilber of an incident that happened at Brownstown Branch Library. She will also order business cards.
JoAn Evans said at the Beecher City Branch Library they got the driveway gravel graded. They had five at the book club. And 38 children attended the kids club last month. She also had six helpers. Koberlein will talk to the Beecher City Bank about the value of a piece of property that belongs to the library. The restaurant has inquired about purchasing or leasing it for restaurant parking.
Wayne Moran said he needs to update Windows 10 on all the computers. He will pull them and update them and return them.
Moccasin Lawn Care submitted bids for mowing. Cost for the St. Elmo Library would be $40.00, and cost of Beecher City Branch Library would be $60.00. Crawford made a motion to hire Moccasin Lawn Care for this mowing season. Motion was seconded by Kamnick. Motion carried.
The board discussed what petty cash can be used for. And added that it can be used for emergency supplies.
Motion to adjourn meeting made by Arnold, seconded by Kamnick at 8:08 p.m. Motion carried.
