This Friday, May 8th from 12 to 5 pm at the St. Elmo Public Library only, we will be offering a “dead drop” curbside pickup. You can call us at (618)829-5544, email us at email@example.com, or message us on Facebook to order library materials; or you can place holds on our items at step.illshareit.com (after you search for a title or author you can limit your search to St. Elmo Library). Patrons will only have access to the items that are in our library, our consortium has currently suspended Interlibrary Loan Delivery until June. We will pull the items and place them in a plastic bag with your name on the bag; we will place it outside the library once you have called to let us know that you have arrived to pick the items up. Please do not get out of your car until the librarian is back in the library. We will not start answering the phone until 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Patrons are NOT allowed in the library. When returning items, please place them in the outside drop box, do NOT hand them to the librarian. We are hoping to offer this service to our other two branches (Beecher City and Brownstown) in the near future. Please be patient with us through this new adventure of providing library materials to you.
