For the Director’s Communication, Kim mention that, according to the count, 70 people came to the Open House and everyone enjoyed the cookies. Discussion was made about employees getting extra shirts like the ones that were worn during the open house. Each staff will receive three shirts each and the library will absorb the cost. All libraries will be shut down on Tuesday June 14, 2022, for employee training and setting up the summer reading program. Lunch will be provided for the employee training with the money coming out of Staff Development. The Secretary of State sent our renewal for Illinet and OCLC. Our fee will be $2,062.37.

A watering hose was purchased with a spray nozzle for $47.91.  A water hose reel was discussed with the cost being $99.99 at Rural King and $112.35 at Menards and they also had one for $69.97. A decision was made to purchase the $69.97. The plumbing situation is still on hold at the Beecher City Branch Library.

As of the meeting date, no one had come and looked at the back building roof.  Tony said he will be in touch with Dale again. As far as the St. Elmo War Memorial ground lease, To wrap things up, Tony and Bev need to go up to Rick Days office to sign the official copy of the notification of cancellation.

New Business consisted of discussion about the Beecher City Lease that the check has not been cashed. Mowing problems were discussed and decided to try and keep the neighbor’s mowed grass in blowing into our landscaping. We discussed putting in a new fence 6” from the neighbor’s fence line. It was decided to get in touch with the city to make sure a fence can be put up in that area and, if so, start getting estimates of the cost and installation.  Due to all the limbs down at the Beecher City Library from the storm damage, Kim talked to Tom Gardner and he is planning on cutting the limbs up and removing them.

A motion was made by Kamnick at 7:08 p.m. to close the meeting and seconded by Crawford.
